    dear Alex,

this is very simple and compact message to on-line business people.

I have been your audience from 2004. :)

ohsukpyo, thanks for the kind words – hope I can keep your attention captive another few years ;-)

Alex, this is the best presentation of your ideas yet. The clarity of the presentation reveals the power of your approach and ideas. You have done an amazing job at capturing the dynamics and sophistication of the mechanism of the business canvas. The only potential problem is that it may lead people to believe that this work is easy. Watching the evolution, not only of your ideas, but of their expression has been most illuminating. Thanks very much for sharing this exciting work.

Michael, you are right. It seems almost too easy. Indeed, there is a lot of tacit knowledge hidden behind the business model canvas. To succeed with business model innovation business people must adopt a “design mindset” to be successful.

They most co-create, sketch, prototype, visualize, etc. They must master the techniques of designing strategy. That is difficult to transmit in a set of PowerPoint slides…

Michael, thanks also for the kind words. The last few months I have focused particularly on the visual language of my concepts and PowerPoint slides. Not really with the objective of making things nice, but because science shows how effective clear and visual communication can complement oral language…

Always a pleasure to click through your presentations and understand directly what you mean.

Questions : How did you produce the post-it ? And why don’t you use them for slides 42-47 ?

    Hi
Great slide show, I love the post it effect.
There is one aspect that I would like to add to you ideas. The emergence of long tail products is made possible by digital production and distribution. These same things are also changing the possibilities for business models. such as the freemium model. In the revenue filed for the long tail model you post revenue from selling and subscription.

With long tail business there is a clear possibility for a business model based on free. Which would create possible revenue from premium/complimentary products. Interestingly it is also Chris Anderson who is among the first to describe this effect in his coming book free and on his blog: http://www.thelongtail.com

    Best Peter
