I will be speaking at the “Innovating the Business Model” conference organized by Enterprise Ireland, tomorrow, Wednesday 24th of October.
I’m quite excited to be the closing speaker of the conference, since the opening speaker is Professor Henry Chesbrough, author of the books “Open Business Models” and “Open Innovation“. I had a chance to meet Henry this evening and he is a really great guy. It’s wonderful to meet one of the mentors of the open enterprise concept which we apply day after day at our consulting firm Arvetica.
So in the spirit of open knowledge, please find below the set of slides that I will be presenting tomorrow:

Very interesting presentation, Alex, I wish I could be there to hear your presentation.
I noticed when comparing this presentation with one over on the arvetica blog (may 31st) that where you here use the term “distribution channels”, in the other post you use the term “client acquisition channels”. those seem to me to be two rather different things. could you please clarify?
Dear Graham, good observation and great to see how carefully you are looking at my material!
The explanation is relatively simple: Usually I talk about “communication and distribution channels” when I talk about the specific part in the business model you are referring to.
In the Arvetica presentation I used the term “client acquisition channel” because that is the language private bankers speak. I always adapt my vocabulary to the people I am working with.
Both expressions stand for the channels through which a company communications with and reaches its customers to either acquire customers or sell products and/or services.
